On July 6-7 IT development will be discussed in Khanty-Mansiysk

On July 6-7, Khanty-Mansiysk will host the 7th International IT Forum, "Smart region-comfortable region." It will be attended by heads of federal, regional and local authorities, representatives of the business community, professional organisations, and the research and academic community, and leading international experts on IT development. Representatives of the SCO and BRICS countries have also been invited to the forum. The organisers believe these countries' participation will expand the range of opportunities for using IT and provide fresh impetus for breakthrough ventures.

The forum's programme consists of panel discussions, sectoral round tables, workshops and a specialised exhibition, "Information technology for everyone."

The participants will discuss the formation of e-government, IT solutions for the public sector, the use of information and communication technologies in healthcare, education, culture, subsurface resource management, the role of innovation and investment technologies in IT-business development, and other issues.
