Ufa prepares to host the SCO and BRICS small businesses forum

Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov said at a meeting with federal and republican mass media that Ufa will host the first interregional forum on small and medium-sized businesses in October 2015. The event will serve as a platform to create conditions for the accelerated development of small businesses in the SCO and BRICS countries.

"There should be a lot of horizontal ties between the countries: not only highest-level relations, but also links between regions and municipalities," Mr. Khamitov said, adding that the initiative to hold such an event was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Currently, Bashkortostan's State Committee on Entrepreneurship and Tourism has started preparations for the forum.
