The Shagnhai Cooperation Organisation is a permanent intergovernmental organisation founded on 15 June 2001 by the leaders of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure is a permanent body devoted to the fight against terrorism, separatism and extremism.
