Vladimir Putin: Approval of SCO Development Strategy towards 2025 expected at Ufa Summit

At a ceremony of presenting credentials by foreign ambassadors President Vladimir Putin said that at the Ufa Summit the SCO member states intend to endorse a new document that sets the SCO's priorities for the future - the SCO Development Strategy Towards 2025.

The President also said that Russia expects the adoption of important decisions on the process for SCO expansion. "We are convinced that the addition of new states to the organisation, namely India and Pakistan, will enhance the authority of the SCO and make it possible to more efficiently fight terrorism, extremism, illegal drug trafficking and other problems," the President said.
